The second story provides a look into the continuing efforts of Save the Sound and the Preserve Plum Island Coalition. Their goal is to preserve public land on Plum Island threatened by government attempts to sell it to the highest bidder. But, as Executive Director of the Citizens’ Campaign for the Environment, Adrienne Esposito puts it perfectly: “We don’t have to buy this island. We already own this island. All we have to do, is continue to do that...”.
