The mission of IFDC is bold and simple: to address global food security challenges and to help eradicate extreme hunger and poverty.

JobTrain was founded 51 years ago to address the lack of job opportunities and poverty in East Palo Alto, CA. Since then, JobTrain has grown from providing one typing class to the local community into a premier workforce development agency that serves San Mateo County, San Francisco County, Santa Clara County and Alameda County.

The Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), was founded in the midst of civil unrest during the 1991 Mount Pleasant riots. Their goal is to help stimulate the economic and social advancement of low to moderate income Latinos and other underserved communities in the D.C. and Baltimore Areas.

The Little Sisters of the Assumption (LSA), an order of religious sisters founded in 1865, support families who are marginalized from the larger society. Programs run by the Little Sisters encourage empowerment and self esteem while helping to create systems of support within the community.

Long Way Home is an organization that constructs homes, schools, and other buildings using trash and reusable materials in Guatemala.

History is replete with stories of how Native American culture has been devastated by efforts to "Civilize the Indians". This is a different kind of story.

Land Conservation isn’t just about preserving property, it is about inspiring communities to connect with natural resources we all share. The Lyme Land Conservation Trust of Lyme, CT was started by just a handful of concerned members of the Lyme community that was not immediately embraced by their neighbors.
