Thirty years ago there was no environmental law. There were no environmental lawyers. Ordinary citizens did not have a right to present their environmental causes and complaints in our courts of law. Earthjustice attorneys have helped to change all that.

Around the world more than 800 million people are living with hunger. The images of starving people are burnt into our collective memory. While many feel helpless to act in the face of this global epidemic, one small group of people from Ft. Myers, Florida is literally planting seeds to fight hunger around the world.

It's 10pm - Do you know where your grandparents are?? Maybe they're trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas in Nepal...or hitching a ride on a camel in Cairo...Perhaps they're in Arizona fulfilling a lifelong dream to fly an airplane...or in Monument Valley volunteering on a Navajo reservation. There's no end to the adventure on an Elderhostel program.

Esperança (es‧pe‧ran‧sah), the Portuguese word for hope, resonates in everything they do. They are more than doctors, donors, volunteers. They are activists, community members, and global citizens. They are connected to their work because they are there, on the ground, letting the people tell them what they need. Esperança mission: to improve health and provide hope through disease prevention, education and treatment for every life they touch.

The terrors of war are the gruesome ties that bond people from troubled nations all over the world. Now a small band of Americans, joined by an elite group of international experts, has set out to derive some good from these horrific pasts

Freedom from Hunger's goal is nothing less than the elimination of chronic hunger and malnutrition. Through five decades of service they have learned that the most effective way to win the war against these age old problems is to empower the poor and hungry to help themselves.

BHGH was founded on the vision that children with high potential who are abused, neglected, impoverished or otherwise at risk could be saved and eventually thrive.

Tucked in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts, Gould Farm was founded by Will Gould in 1913 as a refuge for anyone suffering in mind, body or spirit.
